Race 2 - Day 24: EMT Ambassador closing in on Finish of Race 2
The winning crew of Durban 2010 and Beyond and second-placed Glasgow: Scotland with style Clipper
arrived on Tuesday and spent Tuesday evening enjoying cold beers and
local steaks in the newly-renovated bar at SUDESB’s Terminal Maritimo
da Bahia in Salvador. Dozens of Brazilian media representatives took to
the water on Tuesday to watch the South African team clinch victory in
this first Atlantic crossing of Clipper 07-08.
Liverpool 08 is currently lying in 4th place and is expected to arrive in Salvador at around 0900 local time (12 noon GMT) tomorrow. Hull & Humber is expected later in the day on Wednesday.
