Day Four : Ellen MacArthur Trust Residential Dinghy Week

When I woke up today one of the first things I thought about was getting my results, I just wanted to know how I’d done because to have to wait two months is a long time. To be able to go out sailing again this morning was really good as I really enjoy it and I don’t get to do it very often. It was also nice to be doing something to take my mind off getting my results until I spoke to my mum who was going to my school to get my results. We set off from the centre and started heading towards Brightlingsea where we were stopping for lunch. We took it in turns to take the tiller and pull the mainsail and jib sheets and help sail the boat. On the way over my mum called me and told me I had passed all the exams I had wanted. I missed about 18months of school when I was ill and having treatment so As and Bs don’t matter to me, I just felt really proud I’d passed my exams and my mum was crying! A few of us had got our results and we celebrated with chips for lunch in Brightlingsea! Coming back to the centre, I just felt like it was a huge weight off my mind and I was so relieved, It’s been a brilliant week so far and this just made it even better.

HUGEST CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE EMT KIDS PAST AND PRESENT WHO GOT THEIR GCSE RESULTS TODAY.
