Supporters Drinks Evening

As the final trip of the season ended the team geared up to welcoming many of our supporters for a champagne and canapé reception looking out over Cowes harbour from the Prom Room at Offshore Challenges. It was the perfect setting for a very special evening.

Queens Medical Centre Nottingham

The students again had the pleasure of being transported by limousine from Southampton Central to the Red Jet Ferry Terminal before departing for Cowes, Isle of Wight. Here they took residence upon the Trust’s chartered UKSA vessels Spirit and Avocet.

Northern Ireland Cancer Fund

A group of eight young people from the Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children, all either in remission or currently being treated for cancer and leukaemia went sailing with the Ellen MacArthur Trust on 14th July -18th July around the Isle of Wight.

 

During the four day sailing trip, the youngsters also got to sail with the charities two patrons, Round the World Yachtswoman, Ellen MacArthur and Double Olympic Gold Sailing Medallist Shirley Robertson.
