Cowes Round Table yesterday presented a cheque to Shirley Robertson OBE. The round table raised the money at a charity auction at the Royal Corinthian Yacht Club in November 2005. thanks to all those involved for this wondeful support.

J P Morgan Asset Management Round the Island race update 17.00 3rd June 2006

At 17.00.04 Scarlet Oyster crossed the finish line beaten over the line by our intrepid cyclists and Chernikeeff II, intial results put Scarlet Oyster 238 out of a fleet of 1587 yachts.

As the race leaders reach Osbourne Bay Scarlet Oyster has turned the last corner and is approaching the forts  the bikes have reached bembridge so it is going to be close as to who will make it to Cowes first.

J P Morgan Asset Management Round the Island race update 10.30 June 2006

The Boat and Bikes both reach St Catherine Point (the half way point) at the same time. Scarlet Oyster has now dropped her spinnaker after a fantastic run from the needles, this was never a race, with the cyclists aiming to raise money for the trust rather than beat the yacht round, but it is going to be a close finish!

Scarlet Oyster passed the needles (the first "turning point" of the race) at 09.10. With the Spinnaker now up and Katie (14) on the helm the team are making a steady 6knts.

J P Morgan Asset Management Round the Island race update 09.00 3rd June 2006

After a flying start Scarlet Oyster is approaching the Needles, the wind is now dropping fast, the crew are all in high spirits with Dan   helming and Katie having a great time getting involved with all the jobs on board. Gordon and the adult crew appear to be doing very little apart from drinking tea and eating bacon sandwiches. The cycle group are in Freshwater bay while Mark Turner has made a deliberate detour to the needles adding 20km to his route
