A young success story for The Ellen MacArthur Trust

2007 will mark the 5th birthday of The Ellen MacArthur Trust. To mark this anniversary, on the 3rd January one of the first youngsters The Trust ever took sailing, Dan Monk (pictured right with Ellen at our ball this summer.) now 20 years old, will start training for his Commercial Yachtmaster courtesy of the charity and with assistance from UKSA

In July this year, Katie Miller successfully completed a solo circumnavigation of the British Isles raising funds for the Trust

To celebrate the amazing achievement of the nineteen year old, The Trust held a reception for Katie on Friday 8th December 2006. Dame Ellen MacArthur, Katie’s family, friends and sponsors were all in attendance to watch Katie present the cheque to the Ellen MacArthur Trust.
