Dan Monk starts his Yachtmaster course at UKSA and a regular blog on this site

Dan Monks first blog, since starting his Yachtmaster Training at UKSA, can now be found under Dan's Blog in the menu bar above. Dan has been involved with the trust since 2003 when he first came sailing shortly after treatment, he has developed a love of sailng and assisted the trust last year in running the trips. Trust volunteer Katie Miller wins Raymarine Young Sailor of the Year award

All involved with the trust are delighted that Katie Miller who has worked as a volunteer for The Ellen MacArthur Trust in her holidays for the last three years, and in 2006 successfully completed a solo circumnavigation of the British Isles raising funds for the Trust has been named Raymarine Young Sailor of the year. Katie is pictured right receiving the award from single handed sailor Dee Caffari.

LBCC present cheque to Dame Ellen MacArthur

LBCC chairman David Kong today (Friday 5th January) presented a cheque for £15,000 to the Trust Patron Ellen MacArthur at the London Boat Show. LBCC have supported the Trust for the last four years, support such as this has enabled the trust to double the number of young people we took sailing in 2006, work with 3 new hospitals in 2007 and introduce a residential Dinghy Sailing week to our activities this year.
